A Snowy Cold week

It's been a great, but cold & snowy week, more new clients and interesting pieces of work. It's been so cold in the workshop I have to move all adhesive materials into the warmth of the house as they don't work so well in the cold!! It's amazing how physical the work of a framer is, a hot cup of coffee and making up frames and I've soon warmed up!!

Here's a couple of completed pieces we delivered this week.

We received some more display items this week; a frame box to show the amazing difference Art Glass makes compared to standard glass. It offers 99% protection from harmful UV which meets conservation standards.

I didn't realise until recently that UV is also emitted from lighting not just the sun. I wish I'd been advised on this when we had some autographed Olympics posters framed in 2012 (before I was a framer), the autographs have now faded and I'm going to replace the glass with Art Glass to stop any further fading. Of course this is something we can do for any of your artwork/memorabilia too that you don't want to fade.

We also received Aluminium frame samples, they add a a sleek contemporary look and being made of aluminium they are strong too so ideal if you want a sleek look with a large/long piece of art.

Next week we have some more elegant/luxury samples coming in, can't wait to show you those!!

Take Care!
